"Priscilla and I are happy to share we're expecting another baby girl! I grew up with three sisters and they taught me to learn from smart, strong women. They weren't just my sisters but some of my best friends.
They've gone on to write books, excel at performance, music, sports, cooking and their careers. They showed me how to compete and still laugh together afterwards. Priscilla grew up with two sisters and they taught her the importance of family, caring for others and hard work. They supported each other as first generation college students and in their careers in medicine and business.

They have so many inside jokes -- the kind only siblings can understand. We are all better people because of the strong women in our lives -- sisters, m…

Akufo-Addo to spend GH₵1.5bn on gov’t machinery

The Minority in Parliament has revealed that the Akufo-Addo led government has budgeted over 1.5 billion Ghana cedis for 2017 on Government Machinery.
According to the Minority, the 1.5 billion Ghana cedis budgeted by government is unacceptable and contradicts the NPP’s message of moderate spending.
NDC MP for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwah who raised the issue on the floor of the House slammed the NPP government for mistrust and deception.
According to him, the previous NDC government spent just 1.3 billion Ghana cedis from 2012 to 2016 on government machinery.
“An unprecedented allocation…a gigantic allocation in excess of 1.5 billion cedis has been made to the office of government machinery. To put this into perspective, in 2012 the office of government machinery was allocated only 236 million cedis, in 2013 only 312 million, in 2014 only 326 million, in 2015 only 453 million…if combine all those years…you will get just about 1.3 billion cedis, it doesn’t come up to t…

Queen Elizabeth only wears this one shade of $9 nail polish— and you probably do, too

Queen Elizabeth has worn the same shade of nail polish since 1989.Essie's Ballet Slippers lacquer is the only color Her Majesty will wear. The pale shade is fit for a queen, and your budget, at just $9 a bottle.

Queen Elizabeth has some very specific habits and rituals, including sipping a glass of champagne before bed each night. But when it comes to nail care, Her Royal Majesty is especially keen to a particular hue of pink.
Essie's iconic Ballet Slipper nail polish isn't just a favorite among beauty bloggers, brides, and supermodels , it's also the only color the Queen will wear on her nails.
According to the brand's website , Queen Elizabeth's hairdresser wrote a letter to nail polish-mogul Essie Weingarten in 1989 requesting a bottle of the classic shade as she refused to wear any other.
Ballet Slippers is an understated pale hue, just subtle enough to hide beneath the Queen's gloves when she's greeting and hosting world leaders. But Her Roy…

Let’s practise what we preach – Lydia Forson tells women

As part of the International Women’s Day commemorated yesterday, Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson has tasked women to let their actions be a reflection of what they preach to other women and the entire world.

According to the outspoken actress, women should be supportive of one another.
She underscored that it won’t make sense if women fight for empowerment and yet other women in high positions won’t help young women who need their support in instances of seeking sponsorship.

“As we ask for equality and support, we need to be more encouraging and supportive towards one another. Our actions have to reflect on the message we’re preaching. More women in the creative arts need to learn to speak out more against injustice of any kind and recognise the influence we have to effect change,” she told NEWS-ONE.

Lydia is one of the few vocal Ghanaian actresses on women-related issues.

Sometimes, she is castigated for her postures, while others praise and urge her to continue to speak for wom…

Trump travel ban: Hawaii files first legal challenge

Hawaii has become the first US state to file a suit against President Donald Trump's revised travel order.
Its attorney general says the new version is fundamentally the same as the first, calling it "Muslim Ban 2.0".
The directive, which takes effect on 16 March, places a 90-day ban on people from six mainly Muslim nations and a 120-day ban on all refugees.
The previous order, which was blocked by a federal court, sparked confusion at airports and mass protests.
"Nothing of substance has changed: There is the same blanket ban on entry from Muslim-majority countries (minus one)," Hawaii Attorney General Doug Chin said of the new order.
It will bar entry of citizens of Iran, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen for 90 days. Iraq, which was included in the first ban, has been taken off the list.
Mr Chin also said the directive included "the same sweeping shutdown of refugee admissions (absent one exception) and lawless warren of exceptions and waivers&q…

Barca does the unbelievable! Defeats PSG 6-1 at home to go through after 4-0 1st leg result

Sergi Roberto scored in the fifth minute of stoppage time as Barcelona capped a sensational Champions League fightback to thrash Paris Saint-Germain 6-1 and reach the quarterfinals on Wednesday.
"I threw myself at it with everything," Roberto told BeIN Sports Spain as his outstretched leg turned home Neymar's cross.
Despite Luis Suarez's early opener, a Layvin Kurzawa own goal and Lionel Messi's penalty, Barca, who lost the first leg 4-0, looked down and out when Edison Cavani volleyed home what seemed to be the vital away goal for PSG.
However, Neymar restored Barca's belief as he firstly fired home a sensational free-kick two minutes from time and then converted from the penalty spot.
And Roberto capped the biggest comeback in Champions League history when he stretched to turn home Neymar's dinked cross to the delight of a near 100 000 at a rocking Camp Nou, making the score 6-5 on aggregate.
"It is a difficult night to explain with words…
