Video: The BBC Interview Dad Speaks Out On The ‘Comedy Of Errors’ That Led To His Family Going Viral

The family of Professor Robert Kelly, whose children interrupted him while he was giving an interview to the BBC about the impeachment of South Korea’s President, is now speaking out about the video that made them a global viral sensation — and say they were overwhelmed by the attention.
The entire reason the children were able to get into the room where Kelly was giving the interview in the first place, he says, is because he simply forgot to lock the door to his office.

“Most of the time they come back to me after they find the locked door,” Kelly’s wife, Kim Jung-A, told the Wall Street Journal. “But they didn’t. And then I saw the door was open. It was chaos for me.”
“I made this minor mistake that turned my family into YouTube stars,” Kelly told the Wall Street Journal. “It’s pretty ridiculous.”

Immediately after the interview though, Kelly told the Wall Street Journal, he and his wife were concerned he would never be asked to appear on the BBC again. He even emailed the c…

Texas bill would fine men $100 each time they masturbate

A Texas lawmaker has proposed a bill that would fine a man $100 each time he masturbates.
The bill also imposes a 24-hour waiting period if a guy wants a colonoscopy or a vasectomy, or if he's in the market for some Viagra.  Rep. Jessica Farrar, a Democrat, knows her bill isn't going to get very far. But she proposed it last week to make a point and give male lawmakers a taste of their own medicine.  Farrar has long been an advocate of women's health in a state that has made it extremely difficult for women to get abortions. And the bill, by pointing out a sexist double standard, is meant to shine a light on the obstacles women deal with when it comes to their health care.  "Let's look at what Texas has done to women," Farrar told CNN. "What if men had to undergo the same intrusive procedures?" CNN

Replace inferior JHS, SHS with ‘O’, ‘A’ Levels – Charismatic Bishops

The Charismatic Bishops’ Conference of Ghana is calling for the re-introduction of the ‘O’ and ‘A’ level system to replace the inferior junior high school (JHS) and senior high school (SHS) education.

In a four-point communiqué issued in line with Ghana’s 60th Independence anniversary in Accra the Charismatic Bishops’ Conference stated that Ghana had been subjected to an inferior form of education through the JHS and SHS for many years.
“We call the JHS and SHS educational system an inferior form of education because many politicians and well-to-do Ghanaians do not subject their children to the current JHS and SHS system. Instead, they take their children to schools that do ‘O’ Level and ‘A’ Level because they can afford to.

“If JHS and SHS was not an inferior form of education, why do they take their children out of it when they have the money to do so?

The Charismatic Bishops’ Conference added that “we call the JHS and SHS an inferior form of education because the quality of …

'El Chapo' health deteriorating in US custody: lawyers

The health of Mexican drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, one of the world's most notorious criminals, is deteriorating in US custody, his lawyers complained Monday, challenging the conditions of his detention.
The 59-year-old, accused of running one of the world's biggest drug empires and who escaped twice from prison in Mexico, has been held in solitary confinement in New York since being extradited on January 19.
His isolation at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan has seen his "physical and mental health" deteriorate, wrote his American public defenders in a 24-page letter to the judge overseeing his case. "He has difficulty breathing and suffers from a sore throat and headaches," they said.
"He has recently been experiencing auditory hallucinations, complaining of hearing music in his cell even when his radio is turned off."
His lawyers asked Judge Brian Cogan that Guzman be allowed to speak to his wife, either …

Prince William’s Scandalous Ski Trip

Prince William is under intense criticism in the U.K. on Tuesday after it emerged that he missed one of the most important church services in the royal calendar in favor of a hedonistic skiing trip to the Swiss resort of Verbier with a group of male friends.
While Queen Elizabeth and Duke of Edinburgh were at Westminster Abbey for the annual Commonwealth Service, alongside the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry, the Duke of York, and the Earl of Wessex, William was pictured partying on and off the piste.
The lads’ trip to the slopes is playing badly in the British press, after pictures of William high-fiving a 24-year-old Australian lingerie model, Sophie Taylor, were splashed all over the front pages.
Wills was snapped with Taylor during a lunch “washed down with beer, wine, and Jagerbombs,” according to the Sun and a series of other reports across British media, where the prince has previously been regularly accused of being lazy. Revealed: Prince William s…

Rhino horns worth $5m seized in Thailand off flight from Ethiopia

Twenty-one rhino horns worth an estimated $5m have been seized in Thailand after being found in luggage sent from Ethiopia in the biggest such haul in years.
The seizure comes days after 300kg of elephant ivory was also impounded in the country.
Thailand is seen as a transit point for the illegal trafficking of wildlife.
Several species of rhino are at critical risk of extinction, conservationists say.
The horns arrived at Bangkok's international airport where two Thai women who had travelled from Vietnam and Cambodia came to collect them.
According to Thai police, they ran off when the luggage was subjected to a random check.
Officials describe the incident as an elaborate smuggling effort which involved several other people inside Thailand and abroad.
Wildlife campaigners believe the rhinos were probably killed to order in southern Africa, a BBC correspondent in Bangkok says.
Activists say that despite improvements in Thailand's anti-smuggling efforts, its main airport …

“Society looks down on a lot of things. They see confidence as being rude and this is a disease.

So I'm telling all the beautiful ladies not to be afraid to express themselves. Whether you are tall, short, light skinned or dark, be proud of what you've got. Marco Rubio: Snoop Dogg Should Be ‘Very Careful’ With Trump Mock-Assassination Video

Marco Rubio isn't clowning around -- he thinks Snoop Dogg might have crossed a line with his new video "Lavender," in which the Doggfather pretends to assassinate a clown-faced Donald Trump stand-in with a toy gun.
The Republican senator and self-avowed hip-hop fan -- one dubbed "Little Marco" by Trump -- took the rapper to task on Monday.
"Snoop shouldn't have done that ... You know, we've had presidents assassinated before in this country, so anything like that is really something that you should be very careful about," Rubio told TMZ.
The senator continued, "I think people can disagree ... [but] you've got to be very careful about that kind of thing, because the wrong person sees that and gets the wrong idea, you can have a real problem. So I'm not sure what Snoop was thinking, he should think about that a little bit."
In the video, directors Jesse Wellens and James DeFina depict an America where everyone's a clow…

Whoopi Goldberg Suing Over Fake News Story – Watch “The View” Video

Whoopi Goldberg revealed on Monday’s “The View” that she’s suing over a fake news story she says endangered her and her family. Check out the video above.
During “Hot Topics” on the ABC talk show, Goldberg announced, “Something came out in a fake news website about me. It endangered my family’s life and it endangered my life.” She explained that the untrue story falsely claimed she slammed the Navy Seal widow who was featured in Donald Trump’s speech to Congress. As Gossip Cop reported, “The View” co-hosts did discuss that part of the president’s address, but Goldberg never said a bad word about the woman.
The fake news story, she said, was “created by a guy who just wanted to see how quickly stories he made up would spread.” And spread this did, apparently to the point where people who believed it began threatening Goldberg and her loved ones. She angrily said, “I know you’re in Costa Rica, sir, because you said where you were. If I hadn’t been made aware of this, I could…

Brexit bill: Parliament clears way for talks with EU

Parliament has passed the Brexit bill, paving the way for the government to trigger Article 50 so the UK can leave the European Union.
Peers backed down over the issues of EU residency rights and a meaningful vote on the final Brexit deal after their objections were overturned by MPs.
The bill is expected to receive Royal Assent and become law on Tuesday.
The BBC's Laura Kuenssberg said this would leave Theresa May free to push the button on withdrawal talks.
The result came as Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced that she intended to hold a second referendum on Scottish independence at a time when Brexit negotiations are expected to be reaching a conclusion.
Ms Sturgeon said she wanted a vote to be held between the autumn of 2018 and the spring of the following year.
The prime minister could theoretically invoke Article 50, which formally starts the Brexit process, as early as Tuesday.
However, Downing Street sources have said this will not happen this week and …

Peskov related the information to CNN host Fareed Zakaria. He said:
“Well, if you look at some people connected with Hillary Clinton during her campaign, you would probably see that he had lots of meetings of that kind,” Dmitry Peskov said. ”There are lots of specialists in politology, people working in think tanks advising Hillary or advising people working for Hillary."

English FA Cup: Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United

Chelsea remained firmly on course for a domestic Double as N’Golo Kante’s second-half winner settled a stormy FA Cup quarter-final meeting with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
United manager Jose Mourinho was involved in touchline clashes with opposite number Antonio Conte and was verbally abused by Chelsea fans at the scene of many of his triumphs, including three titles.
The Portuguese was furious when midfielder Ander Herrera was sent off 10 minutes before half-time after a second foul on Eden Hazard, and the managers were kept apart moments later after Marcos Alonso tumbled to the floor after being brought down.
Kante’s low 51st-minute drive finally beat defiant United keeper David de Gea, who saved superbly from Hazard and Gary Cahill before the break to keep Mourinho’s side in contention before Chelsea made the breakthrough.
Marcus Rashford, who came off his sick bed to play – with Zlatan Ibrahimovic suspended, and Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial injured, created…

Despite financial crisis, Namibian president Hage Geingob increases his salary

Namibian president Hage Geingob last week approved salary increases of 6% for himself and fellow politicians, effective from this month. In 2015, the Public Office-Bearers Remuneration and Benefits Commission (POBC) recommended the increases in salary for politicians but Geingob did not approve them because of the economic situation.
On Friday, the Presidency gazetted the salary increases, detailing how much the politicians will earn.

According to the gazette, the President will now earn N$1,7 million per year. ( N$600 000 monthly). His vice president, Nickey Iyambo will pocket N$1,5 million per year, an addition of about N$400 000 from the previous N$1,1 million package.

Namibia's 27 ministers will cost the state over N$30 million per year, with four of the presidential advisers among others.

Ironically, a worker who earns N$1 000 per month will have to work for 1700 months (140 years) to earn the President's N$1,7 million gross for one year.
