Ex-South Korean president Park Geun-hye arrested

South Korea's disgraced ex-President Park Geun-hye was arrested early Friday local time on charges including bribery and abuse of power, the latest chapter in a dramatic downfall for the U.S. ally, the Yonhap news agency reported.
Prosecutors accused Park of colluding with a confidante to extort from big businesses, take a bribe from one of the companies and commit other wrongdoings. The allegations prompted millions of South Koreans to protest in the streets every weekend for months before the Constitutional Court ruled March 10 to remove her. Park's presidential powers already had been suspended after the parliament impeached her in December.
South Korea's first female president rose to power four years ago amid conservatives' nostalgia for her late dictator father who is credited by supporters for pulling a war-torn country out of poverty in the 1960-70s. Liberal critics reviled her father as a ruthless leader who tortured and imprisoned his opponents.

Annie~Joy writes: The Monster Among Men. #BeInspired!

"If angels do not have monsters in them, there wouldn't have been Satan and his agents" therefore every living soul got a monster in him or her. What I mean by monster is bad side of a person. People will wish you all the goodness and mercy in life and when they see you climbing the ladder of success, they turn up to criticize you.
The sad thing is, when upon all their criticism you still are able to climb the ladder without backsliding, they will still be the same people who will turn up to rise forces and affliction against you. Monsters among men. The man and woman mets and love was found among them which is leading to marriage. That's when you get a monster showing up to discourage one of the partners about the good intentions. They are everywhere.

You have played with your best friend and all is/was going on between you. Later you get a monster showing up with labels and records just to end your friendship for you. It does happen when a man can rais…

A US federal judge in Hawaii has indefinitely extended the suspension of President Trump's new travel ban.

President Trump says his revised travel ban seeks to prevent terrorists from entering the United States.
Judge Watson made the ruling late on Wednesday after hearing arguments from attorneys for the state of Hawaii and the US Department of Justice.
The judge turned his earlier temporary restraining order into a preliminary injunction that would have a more lasting effect.
President Trump's executive order on 6 March would have placed a 90-day ban on people from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen and a 120-day ban on refugees.
An earlier version of the order, issued in late January, sparked confusion and protes…
