Arsenal set to face Chelsea in FA Cup Final after seeing off Manchester City in tense Semi-Final clash

Arsenal have booked a date with Chelseain the FA Cup Final next month after beating Manchester City 2-1 in extra time at Wembley. Arsene Wenger‘s boys came from behind to edge out City. Sergio Aguerohad scored the opener in the 62nd minute after a goalless first half. Nacho Monreal equalised for the Gunners in the 72nd minute, before Alexis Sanchez sealed the victory in the extra time.
Chelsea on Saturday had qualified for the final after beating Tottenham Hotspur 4-2 in a thrilling encounter  at same venue.
Just like the previous Premiership game against Middlesbrough, Wenger played three men at the back with Rob Holding starting out once more in the rejigged defence. North Korea Detains Third American Citizen: Officials

A U.S. citizen aged in his 50s has been detained in North Korea according to Swedish officials and local media.
The Swedish Embassy in Pyongyang said it was aware of a Korean-American citizen being detained recently, but could not comment further. The embassy looks after consular affairs for the United States in North Korea because there is no official diplomatic relationship between the two countries.
South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported the man was detained on Friday, bringing the total number of Americans held by the isolated country to three.
The man, a Korean-American identified only by his surname Kim, had been in North Korea for a month to discuss relief activities, Yonhap said on Sunday. He was reportedly arrested at Pyongyang International Airport on his way out of the country.
An official at South Korea's National Intelligence Service said it was not aware of the reported arrest.

Empire Yet To Name OFFICIAL Artiste Lineup For 2017 Ghana Meets Naija – Management

The official artiste lineup for the 2017 Ghana Meets Naija is yet to be released, organizers, Empire, have said.

Earlier reports communicated a fine list of artistes penciled for this year’s event but Empire, who are holding the event for the seventh year, say they are yet to officially communicate the complete list.

“We are still in talks with some and we are hopeful that in the next few days, we will be able to communicate the final list,” an Empire official says.

Sticking to the event’s theme and longstanding tradition of pairing artistes from Nigeria and Ghana to a night’s celebration of music, this year’s would also feature the best of the two countries.

Empire adds that the talks have advanced to a point where they feel confident they are getting almost all the acts they want for the show.

Air conditioning unit caused Coconut Grove fire - Groupe Nduom

The fire outbreak on the compound of the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel Saturday was caused by an air conditioning unit, management of the three-star hotel said in a statement.
The inferno destroyed the studios of Amansan Television (ATV) and four commercial offices of Groupe Nduom which share the same compound with the hotel situated at North Ridge near the headquarters of the Ghana Immigration Service at the Ako Adjei interchange.
Management said the hotel is safe.
“It is important to note that the Regency Hotel and its restaurant, guest rooms and conference facilities are intact and were not touched by the fire,” Richmond Keelson, Groupe Nduom Corporate Affairs director stated.

Kenya's Daniel Wanjiru wins the men's race in the 2017 London Marathon

Kenya’s Daniel Wanjiru has just won the 2017 London Marathon.  Wanjiru won the race in 2 hours, 05 minutes and 49 seconds, beating pre-race favourite Bekele to second place as Kenya’s Bedan Karoki, who was making his marathon debut, settled in third place.  
It's Wanjiru’s first major victory since he won Amsterdam marathon last year.

Level 400 legon student dies in campus swimming pool

A 22-year-old level 400 student of the University of Ghana has died while relaxing with his friends in the school’s swimming pool.
Dennis Akoto who was with the  Economics and Information studies had a reputation for his skills in swimming,  but drowned while in the pool Saturday afternoon.
The deceased reportedly celebrated his 22nd  birthday on April 10, 2017.
The body has since been deposited at the University of Ghana mortuary.

Happy Days actress Erin Moran dies at 56

Actress Erin Moran, who was famous on TV from the late '60s to the mid-'80s and best known for her kid-sister role in the sitcom "Happy Days," She was 56.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said authorities in Indiana found her body on Saturday afternoon April 22nd after getting a 911 call at 4:07 p.m. for an unresponsive female.
In a statement released, the department said, 'Upon the arrival, it was determined that the female was Erin Marie Moran-Fleischmann. First responders determined that she was deceased and an autopsy is pending'.

3-months after leaving office, Barack Obama will make first public speech on Monday

Since leaving office as the 44th US President, Barack Obama has been relatively quiet, enjoying his vacation and luxury life. It's been three months now, and he's set to deliver the first public remarks of his post-presidency. Obama is slated to speak with young leaders on Monday, April 24th in his adopted hometown of Chicago. 
The event at the University of Chicago is billed by his office as a "conversation on community organizing and civic engagement" and a part of Obama's goal to "encourage and support the next generation of leaders."

Obama is also slated to appear with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin in late May.
