Obama 'warned Trump' about hiring Michael Flynn

Barack Obama warned newly elected President Donald Trump against hiring Michael Flynn as national security adviser, US media report.
Mr Obama warned his successor less than 48 hours after the November election during a conversation in the Oval Office, former Obama officials said.
Mr Flynn's contacts with a Russian ambassador are expected to come up in a Senate hearing on Monday.
He was fired as national security adviser for concealing these contacts.
Mr Flynn, a retired army lieutenant-general, misled the Trump administration about discussing US sanctions against Russia with the country's ambassador, Sergei Kislyak, before the inauguration. He was fired in February.
A Senior White House official confirmed to NBC News that Mr Obama "made the president aware he was not a fan of Michael Flynn", but pointed out that the retired general had been critical of the Obama administration.
The Obama administration fired Mr Flynn from his role as the head of the Defense I…

"I went off the field because I felt it wasn't right for me to be on the field while I have been racially abused."
Muntari was initially banned for one game after asking referee Daniele Minelli to stop the Italian top-flight game at Cagliari on 30 April.
The ex-Ghana international was instead booked for dissent in the 89th minute, prompting him to leave the pitch in protest, and he then received another yellow card.
He angrily confronted Cagliari fans, shouting: "This is my co…

For two weeks now, listeners of Oxzy FM 98.5 might be wondering if the radio station is on test transmission again after operating on the Ghanaian airwaves for the past 10 years. This is because all that has been happening on that wavelength since May Day, 2017 is music and occasional commercials.
The reason? More than 14 radio presenters including four newscasters and six attachment students have been suspended over a missing front office sofa.
For the past two weeks, the radio presenters, newscasters and the students on attachment have been asked to stay away from the premises of the radio station until they find the ‘three-in-one’ sofa which was at the front office of the station according to a story on Rainbow radio.
However, a few DJs are allowed to come to work to fulfill the station’s obligation wards advertisers. They play music and slot in the commercials but are not allowed to utter a word, in fact they have been gagged.
Narrating the issue to Showbiz, Mr Alfred Larbi,…

Donald Trump's Hollywood Walk of Fame star hit with a toilet

US president, Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood walk of Fame has been vandalized a couple of times and the vandals don't seem to be backing down anytime soon .

The star got hit again but this time around, with a toilet which had the word '' Take A Trump'' inscribed on it.

The golden toilet which was placed right next to Trump's star over the weekend, was filled something wet and filthy.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ  no one has reported the vandalism, and they're not yet investigating the toilet prank. The site also reached out to Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which oversees the stars' maintenance but so far no response from them.

This is the latest attempt to deface Trump's star on Hollywood Blvd. In October 2016, James Otis damaged the star with a pick axe and  just last month, someone scribbled "F*** Trump".

Annie~Joy writes: Great Words Are Precious Than Material Gifts. #BeInspired!

It takes a word to give hope to the hopeless. It takes a word to change the life of a soul. That is only if the words are very positive, one can relate. Apparently, let me ask this question: You visit a home looking for someone and when you entered, you saw one of the tenants hanging herself on a rope. What would be the first idea that you will have? It is definitely going to be good healthy words that can calm the suicide victim.
There is no way going to buying her an african wear, pizza or whatsoever will come in mind. Just some few great words said to her can change the state of her mind. You can imagine how powerful words are. Some people have taken their lives because of certain words said to them. Relationships are breaking because of the words used in communication. Some people feel useless because of the kind and type of words use on them. At the same time, some people are progressing in life because of the words they were told and still are.
Words are one of the channels for …

Facebook publishes fake news ads in UK papers

Facebook has broadened its campaign to raise awareness about fake news, by publishing adverts in the UK press.
The ads, in papers including The Times, The Guardian and Daily Telegraph, carry a list of 10 things to look out for when deciding if a story is genuine.
They include checking the article date and website address, as well as making sure it isn't intended as satire.
Facebook is under fresh political pressure to tackle fake news in the run up to the UK general election.
Meanwhile, a BBC Panorama investigation to be broadcast later on Monday has found the social network played a decisive role in both the US election and Britain's EU referendum last year.
The platform said it had already removed "tens of thousands" of fake Facebook accounts and that systems were now monitoring the repeated posting of the same content or a sharp increase in messaging. Accounts displaying this activity are then flagged, it added.

Facebook is also decreasing the ra…

Nun arrested for helping priests sexually abuse dozens of deaf children at Argentinian Catholic school

A Roman Catholic nun from Japan, Kosaka Kumiko, 42, has been arrested and charged on suspicion of helping priests sexually abuse children at a school for youths with hearing disabilities in Argentina. Kumiko reportedly helped the priests with anal and vaginal rapes, fondling and oral sex, allegedly committed in bathrooms, dormitories, garden and a basement at the school in Lujan de Cuyo.
The children said the two Roman Catholic priests continuously raped them beside the image of the Virgin Mary.

The case against Kumiko began after a former student accused her of making her wear a diaper to cover up a hemorrhage. This was after she was raped by priest Horacio Corbacho.

At least 24 students from the Provolo Institute have come forward to accuse Corbacho, another priest named Nicola Corradi and three other men.

Kumiko, who's presently in custody at a local women's prison while detectives investigate the alleged crimes. however denied any wrongdoing during an eight-hour cou…
