Taking place at the State banquet Hall in Accra last night, Glitz Africa’s Ghana Women of the Year Honours saw respected female icons  from the country earn recognition for their efforts across various spheres of  endeavour in society.
They include former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman – Rawlings, filmmaker Shirley Frimpong – Manso, actress Yvonne Okoro, and a host of others.
A classy evening, it was graced by Joy FM’s Doreen Andoh and Kojo Yankson, Live FM’s Berla Mundi, model Victoria Michaels, Nikki Samonas, Joselyn Dumas among others. The night also, saw compelling performances from top chanteuses including Stephanie Benson, Irene Logan, Adina, and MzVee.

Ransomware cyber-attack threat escalating - Europol

Friday's cyber-attack has affected more than 200,000 victims in 150 countries, Europol chief Rob Wainwright says.
He told the BBC the act was "unprecedented in its scale" and warned more people could find themselves affected on Monday morning.
The virus took control of users' files, demanding payments; Russia and the UK were among the worst-hit countries.
Experts say another attack could be imminent and have warned people to ensure their security is up to date.
Mr Wainwright said that the ransomware - software that blocks access to data until a ransom is paid - was combined with a worm application - a program that replicates itself in order to spread to other computers.
This, he said, was allowing the "infection of one computer to quickly spread across the networks". 
He added: "That's why we're seeing these numbers increasing all the time."

Stonebwoy Readies Videos With Mr. G, Fay Ann Lyons, Khalia In Jamaica

Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall mega star, Stonebwoy, after his recent shutdown concert at the Virginia Commonwealth University on April 29th, did a second business trip to Jamaica to cement some unfinished jobs (from his earlier visit in March, 2017).

Out of the 5 videos shot, 3 solid productions from the songs were done by Grammy Producer, Tony Kelly, another by TuchPoint Music and a last one from Fay-Ann Lyons’ Billboard album “Break The World”. 

With the 3 productions from Tony Kelly’s, Stonebwoy owns 1 and the other 2 were shot features done for new Jamaican female sensation, Khalia, and another for prolific Jamaican Singjay, Mr. G called “California” (already buzzing the airwaves in Jamaica, Ghana and abroad). Stonebwoy returns to Ghana soon, according to his Manager, Sidi Mohammed (Blakk Cedi). Photos: Pretty 'deadly' female gangster shot dead in fierce gun duel with police in Nairobi

The prettiest female gangster in Nairobi identified as Clea Addi Vybz was killed by police officers during a gun duel last Tuesday, May 9.

The mother of one and wife of a fellow gangster was shot dead in Kayole estate in Nairobi, Kenya after exchange of gun fire ensued between a group of gangsters and the police.
Police said that the woman, referred by local residents as Nairobi 'prettiest gangster', was in company of three other female colleagues when they were robbing Kayole residents in broad daylight.

Police confronted the four after an alert by the public, ordered them to surrender, but the gang declined and decided to engage the police in a gun fight. Two of the suspects were killed during the incident while the other two escaped.

A pistol was seized at the scene of crime with six rounds of ammunition. The bodies of the two were taken to the city mortuary where they await identification and postmortem.
