The visit, which took place on the sidelines of the four-day official state visit by the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, was to the Beijing Jingyuan Primary School, one of the most prestigious schools in Beijing, the capital of China.

Several pigs killed over Swine fever outbreak in Ghana

An outbreak of African swine fever among pigs has been recorded in four regions in Ghana.
The infected pigs have been killed in parts of Greater Accra, Eastern, Volta and Ashanti regions to prevent the spread of the swine fever.
In the Ashanti region alone, over 400 pigs have been killed between May and June this year.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt announced on June 5 they were severing ties with Qatar and later put forward a list of 13 demands.

Redditor apologizes for creating CNN takedown video tweeted by Trump

HanAssholeSolo, the Reddit user behind the now-famous video showing Trump body-slamming the CNN logo, apologized Tuesday in a post on the website.
In a lengthy post on the popular social media site, Solo apologized for past anti-Semitic posts, and to CNN for the video.
"I would like to apologize to the members of the Reddit community for getting this site and this sub embroiled in a controversy that should never have happened," Solo wrote.

Peru reconstructs face of ancient female leader

Scientists in Peru have managed to reconstruct the face of a powerful ancient female leader using 3D printing.
The woman, known as the Lady of Cao, belonged to the Moche culture in northern Peru and died 1,700 years ago.
Her preserved remains were found in 2006 at a mud-brick ruined pyramid known Huaca Cao Viejo, near Trujillo.

A popular South African radio presented has been fired by the Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), for calling President Jacob Zuma a "zombie" in a Facebook post, the privately owned News 24 site has reported. According to SABC spokesman, Kaizer Kganyago, he said OAP Ravi Govender's contract was terminated because of concerns that he had brought the public broadcaster into disrepute.
