Two pilots suspended for letting a 10-year-old fly a plane

Two pilots working for Algeria's national airline have been suspended because they allowed a 10-year-old orphan to fly a domestic passenger aircraft.
The report says the boy's adventure was funded by a charity and filmed by El Bilad TV, who show him dressed for the occasion in a pilot's uniform and pushing buttons in the cockpit under supervision.

He passed away this morning after fighting for his life in hospital.

Neymar, 25, is set to sign for Paris St-Germain for a world record fee, after telling Barca he wanted to leave on Wednesday.

Oscar Pistorius hospitalised for medical examination

Former Paralympic and Olympic runner Oscar Pistorius of South Africa, serving a six-year prison sentence for the murder of his girlfriend, was hospitalized in Pretoria, South Africa, on Thursday morning, according to several South African news outlets.
Correctional Services spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo told The Citizen: “We can state that offender Oscar Pistorius was taken to an outside hospital facility this morning for a medical examination.”

Rocky and the band will continue to Dartmouth, New Hampshire for their “Summer Concert Series” at the Hopkins Center for the Arts on August 9. From there they will perform at the super hip Arts Riot is Burlington, Vermont on August 10 before proceeding to headline the esteemed Festival des Traditions Du Monde Sherbrookein Canada on August 11.  The tour also includes public and private dates and will culminate at the Levitt Pavilion Pasadena on August 26 in Pasadena, California.

Klitschko turns down Joshua Rematch, Retires from Boxing

41-year-old former world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko has retired from boxing.
He turned down a rematch with  Anthony Joshua, slated for November 11 in Las Vegas, BBC reports.
“I have achieved everything I dreamed of, and now I want to start my second career after sports. I would have never imagined that I would have such a long and incredibly successful boxing career,” Klitschko said.

Mr Trump admonished Enrique Pena Nieto for publicly denouncing the wall during a 27 January phone call, transcripts obtained by the Washington Post show.

Father of robotics team member killed in Herat attack

The father of one of the Afghan girls who caught the world's attention when trying to attend a robotics contest in the United States was killed on Tuesday in an ISIL-claimed attack at a mosque in Herat.
Fatemah Qaderyan, the 14-year-old Afghan robotics team captain, is "angry and grieving" following the deadly attack targeting Shia worshippers, the team's coach, Ali Reza Mehrban, told Al Jazeera.

Neymar will earn 865,000 euros (£775,477) a week when the Brazil forward completes his world record move from Barcelona to Paris St-Germain.
The 25-year-old's wages will equate to 45m euros (£40.3m) a year before tax.
Barcelona have told the French club they must pay his 222m euro (£198m) fee "in full" and they are understood to be ready to meet his release clause.

After the death of front man and vocalist, Chester Bennington, two albums by Linkin Park re-entered the top 10 on the US sales chart on Tuesday.
“One More Light,” the California rockers’ final album, which hit number one when it came out back in May, jumped back to number four on the Billboard chart for the week while “Hybrid Theory” Linkin Park’s debut album, which was the top-selling US album of 2001 returned at number eight on the latest weekly chart.

Louisiana Assistant police chief resigns after posting racist meme on Facebook

An assistant chief at the Estherwood Police Department in Louisiana, Wayne Welsh, has resigned from his position after he recieved a backlash on a racist post on his facebook page on Sunday which depicted a woman holding a young girl’s head under water in a bathtub, with the caption: “When your daughters first crush is a little negro boy.”

Mawarko Manager Jailed Nine Months

Abelemkpe Mawarko branch manager Jihad Chabaan, who is standing trial for assaulting a caterer at the restaurant, has been found guilty of assault and causing harm.
The Abeka District Court judge has sentenced him to 9 months in prison.
