Ousmane Dembele: Barcelona agree £135.5m deal for Dortmund forward

Barcelona have agreed a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Ousmane Dembele for a fee that could rise to 147m euros (£135.5m), making him the world's second most expensive player. 
Barca will pay an initial 105m euros (£96.8m) for the France international, 20, who has agreed a five-year contract and will undergo a medical on Monday.

A white woman, from South Carolina, has become an internet sensation after a video of her beating up a racist white woman emerged.
The video quickly went viral as soon as it was uploaded on social media on Wednesday. In the video, a big loud-mouthed white woman in a blue dress is seen in a Florida hotel lobby threatening to shoot the hero, Colleen Dagg in the head. According to reports, the racist woman had made a racist comment about Haitians and Colleen called her to order so she became aggressive.

French President Emmanuel Macron spends €26,000 on Makeup in Three Months

French people are upset after it was revealed that their president Emmanuel Macron had spent 26,000€ on makeup during his first three months in office.
According to Slate, french magazine Le Point reported on Thursday that his makeup artist, Natacha M., has billed the executive arm once for €10,000, and for a second time €16,000 since he resumed office.

September 1 declared as public holiday

The Ministry of the Interior has declared Friday September 1, as a statutory public holiday to pave way for the celebration of the Islamic Festival of Sacrifice.  
A statement issued on Friday and signed by Mr Ambrose Dery, Minister of the Interior said the holiday marks the celebration of Eid ul-Adha.

Uganda's New Vision has tweeted that a maid, Jolly Tumuhirwe, who was convicted in December 2014 of torture for beating up a toddler has been released. 
A recording of her acts went viral in East Africa and sparked outrage.

The Tobinco Group of companies last Friday donated $58,000 worth of drugs to victims of recent mudslide in Sierra Leone, which claimed over 400 lives.
Mr Ben Kpabi Tetteh, the General Manager of Marketing and Communications told the media that the gesture was in response to the humanitarian appeals made by Government to support Sierra Leone in her current situation.

A South Korean court has sentenced the billionaire Samsung heir to five years in prison for bribery and other crimes that fed public anger leading to the ouster of Park Geun-hye as South Korea's president.
The Seoul Central District Court said Friday that Lee Jae-yong, 49, was guilty of offering bribes to the former president and her close friend to get government support for efforts to cement his control over the Samsung empire.

Morocco, South Africa, Ghana and Nigeria have shown strong interest in hosting Africa’s biggest music event, All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA 2017-2019 editions as announced by the international Committee of AFRIMA.

These countries have shown their interest through a competitive overture made available to the African Union Commission, AUC who is saddled with the role of deciding on the hosting right in partnership with the International Committee of AFRIMA.

Usher asks court to toss $20 million STD lawsuit

Usher has formally responded to a woman suing him for $20 million, alleging he gave her an STD, and, as expected, he's denying that he infected the woman with herpes.
In his legal documents, obtained by TMZ, Usher asks for the lawsuit to be thrown out because he claims the woman can't offer up any proof that he actually gave her an STD.

Brazilian legend, Roberto Carlos, has been sentenced to three months in jail in Brazil for delays in paying more than £15,000 in child support.
The former Real Madrid star owes the money to former partner Barbara Thurler, who he has two kids with, and as a result, he was given a jail sentence by the Rio de Janeiro courts.
