Taylor Swift breaks Spotify, YouTube records

Look what you made her do: Taylor Swift broke streaming records on Spotify and YouTube with her new single, “Look What You Made Me Do.”
As reported by The Associated Press, Swift’s track was streamed more than 8 million times on its first day of release; the song grabbed 19 million views on YouTube during the same period. Both numbers are records.

Mayweather is guaranteed $100m, but the pay is expected to rise to something approaching $200m by the time ticket sales, pay-per-view income, and other royalties are factored in.

Hurricane Harvey hit Texas as a Category 4 storm on Friday, battering the coast with 130-mph winds and torrential rain.
It was the strongest hurricane to hit the United States in more than a decade leaving a massive destruction, loss of electricity, wrecked buildings and has so far killed at least one person.

The face of boxing for over a decade now, Floyd Mayweather Jr. returned to the ring early this morning in the highly publicized fight against U.F.C champ and first-time boxer Conor McGregor.
The fight was surprisingly well-matched but Mayweather was eventually too much for McGregor and by the 10th round had him backed on the ropes with a series of rights and lefts. MrGregor’s face was bloodied and he was just about to fall off the ring when the referee stepped in to stop the fight with 1:55 to go in the round.

Vodafone Praised For Supporting Pregnant Women

Vodafone has received commendation for its free ultrasound scans for pregnant women in the Eastern region.

The platform, in partnership with Divine Mother and Child (D-MAC) Foundation, has become integral in reducing maternal and child mortality for hundreds of residents in underprivileged communities in Ayensuano, Akyemansa, Suhum, Akwapim South and other areas.
