Use Your Position to Help Ghana Develop Palm Oil Industry - President Akufo Addo to Malaysia High Commissioner
President Akufo Addo has charged Ghana's newly appointed High
Commissioner to Malaysia and career diplomat, Akua Sekyiwaa Ahenkora, to
do all within her power to help Ghana develop it's palm oil industry
like Malaysia has done.
Addressing a brief ceremony held at the
Conference Room of the the Office of the President after administering
the Oaths of Secrecy, the Oath of
Allegiance and the Oath of Office to the High Commissioner, President
Akufo Addo said Malaysia and Ghana attained independence in the same
year, 1957, however, Malaysia has taken giant economic steps
particularly in the palm oil sector. To that end, the President urged
the High Commissioner to work hard to ensure that the expertise of
Malaysia in the palm oil industry is tapped into by Ghanaians to develop
our own palm oil industry.

The newly appointed Akua Sekyiwaa Ahenkora, assured the President of her loyalty and hard work in Malaysia during her duty tour. She added that she has taken notice of the President's concerns on the development of the country's palm oil sector and that she will together with her commission staff ensure that every expertise is harvested for Ghana's benefit.
