Angelina Jolie channels Meghan Markle in Ralph & Russo at royal event

An American brunette dressed in a chic neutral tones walked up the steps of St. Paul’s Cathedral this afternoon and, no, it wasn't Meghan Markle.

It was actually Angelina Jolie.

The actress was at St Paul's to attend a service to mark the 200th anniversary of The Order of St Michael and St George.

Although the royal occasion was missing Her Majesty The Queen, due to ill health, as well as the 'fab four': Kate, William, Meghan and Harry, the Hollywood icon and humanitarian, who was made an honorary dame by the Queen in 2014, bestowed the event with a good dose of poise and elegance.

The 43-year-old channelled a strikingly similar outfit to that of new British royal Meghan Markle, by wearing a fitted neutral dress - a look which has become Meghan's signature.

Not only was the tailored dove grey dress most certainly a silhouette and shade Meghan would wear, but Jolie's entire ensemble was by a designer Meghan had already given her seal of approval.

Ralph & Russo was the fashion house behind the outfit, a couture brand Meghan chose to wear for official portraits with Prince Harry, following the couple's engagement. The luxury brand was also a front runner in the bets on who would design Meghan's wedding dress during the lead up to the royal wedding.

Angelina finished off the look with ruched gloves, a coordinating silver clutch, satin pumps and effortlessly elegant fascinator. Yep, this is definitely one outfit fit for a royal.
