Joe Mettle wins 2018 best Male Artiste of Excellence at the 2018 African Gospel Music and Media Awards

Ghanaian gospel musician Joseph Oscar Nii Armah Mettle, popularly known as Joe Mettle has been crowned the Male Artiste of Excellence, Africa at the African Gospel Music and Media Awards 2018 Ceremony in the UK. 

He won over colleague musicians from Nigeria, Zambia, South Africa and the UK. The event which was held on Saturday, 2ndJune at the East London Arts and Music Auditorium saw many African gospel artistes in attendance.

Joe Mettle also took home the Gospel Song of Excellence Award with his cross cultural, inspiring song, “Bonooni” (No One Else). The song has blessed many people and has received over 3 Million views on YouTube. 

Other winners on the night included Dr. Tumi from South Africa, Sammie Okposo and Preye Odede, all from Nigeria. Receiving the award, Joe thanked the organizers for the recognition and subsequently dedicated it to all young Africans across the continent working hard in spite of current challenges they face.
  
The African Gospel Music and Media Awards (AGMMA) is the premier gospel event that recognises the immense gospel talent that exists within the African gospel music and Christian media fraternity and beyond, and honours and rewards them accordingly at its annual awards event.

The awards night is a culmination of its yearlong activities which includes seminars, resource and networking events, regional concerts and career guidance.

The awards seek to unearth, encourage, motivate and inspire musicians and media outfits to aspire to attain excellence in their ministries and businesses, and to be of better service to the kingdom.

The AGMMA is produced by 1615 Media, a UK based Christian Media and Events Company with international affiliations in the media and music industry.
