Akufo-Addo leaves for China Friday

President Akufo-Addo will leave Accra for China on a state visit tomorrow, Friday August 31.

The visit is to deepen bilateral relations between Ghana and China.

Mr. Akufo-Addo is expected to meet Chinese leader Xi-Jiping on trade relations and other key development areas.

He will also attend the Forum on China-Africa Corporation (FOCAC) which will be attended by 40 heads of state from Africa who have signed up to Continental Free Trade Area to discuss infrastructure, power, education and industry on the continent.

The visit comes as Ghana’s minority in parliament has written to the World Bank to clarify the status of Ghana’s two billion infrastructure loan from China.
