Photos : Akufo-Addo Storms "Chaley Wote" Street Art Festival

The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, was present at Eighth Edition of the “Chaley Wote” Street Art Festival, at Jamestown, Accra on Saturday, August 25.

The President came to witness the occasion, which is aimed at cultivating a wider audience for the arts in West Africa by breaking creative boundaries and using arts as a viable form to rejuvenate public space for growth of arts in Ghana.

Since it’s commencement in 2011, the festival has served as a platform, that brings art, music, dance and other performances out of the galleries, onto the streets of Jamestown, Accra.

This year’s festival started on Monday 20th August in Accra and saw lots of exhibitions from both Ghana based and foreign based artists exhibit their works at various venues of the festival and which ends on Sunday 26th August.

The festival, included street painting, a music block party, a fashion parade, workshops, African Film show, photo exhibition, Networking and many more.

Chaley Wote Festival in Jamestown has always been flooded with lots of people from all over the world, to witness various talents across the country in the month of August.
