Prince Harry and Meghan Markle land in Chichester by helicopter to take the first tour of their dukedom, Sussex

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were given the title of Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their wedding day and the royal couple today visited the county that inspired their royal titles.

It's their first joint official visit and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in Sussex by helicopter.

They were greeted by roaring crowds upon arrival and both royals seemed really happy to meet the people of Sussex.

They met several younger children in Chichester, with Harry spotted patting the head of a baby and Meghan greeting a child eating an apple who was held up to the barriers. Pupils from a local school brought gifts for the couple - and two ten-year-old classmates presented Meghan with an A to Z of Sussex made by the youngsters.

Meghan and Harry will be taking in Chichester, Bognor Regis, Brighton and Peacehaven during a packed day of engagements.
