The award-winning musician is behind memorable hits such as Bosso, Jabba and Music and Light, says EyeWitness News - which has put together a compilation of his songs.
The
BBC's Pumza Fihlani in Johannesburg says HHP is considered by many as
the man who, using local languages, made South African hip hop
mainstream and popular at a time when artists
were imitating US-style rap.
He helped create a new sound that still inspires up-and-coming musicians today, she says.
