Asantehene Proposes Constitutional Reforms to Give Chiefs Bigger Say in Ghanaian Politics

Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has suggested the introduction of reforms to the 1992 Constitution to give the chieftaincy institution in the country a more pronounced role in the political space of the nation. The Asantehene observed that the 4th Republican Constitution has more provisions that conform to European standards as compared to Ghana's traditional norms.
