COVID-19 cases in Ghana now 5,638; 28 dead while 1,460 recover

COVID-19 cases in Ghana have risen to 5,638 according to latest figures released by the Ghana Health Service.

This means the country has recorded 108 new cases within the last 48 hours. Four more people have died bringing the total number of deaths to 28.

However, the country has seen a massive jump in the number of recoveries. 786 people who tested positive for the deadly virus have recorded bringing the total to 1,460.

An update on the Ghana Health Service website indicates that 44 of the 108 new cases were recorded in Accra, 26 in the Western Region, 16 in the Central Region and 12 from the Northern Region.
