Ambassador For Runway Ghana, Araba Sey Nails It At New York City Fashion Week

The New York City Fashion Week, which is one of the most prestigious fashion weeks held around the globe twice every year, happened over the weekend. It was a night of glitz and glamor with an array of spectacular designs on the runway by super models around the world.

This was a proud and indelible moment to see Ghana being put on the World map as the country also represented with a virtual show exhibiting stupendous designs, put together by DeShe Collection of which super model Araba Sey is the face.

Araba Sey is a Ghanaian International award winning Model who has worked with top brands in and outside Ghana, and has won a number of awards and nominations locally and internationally. She has been an inspiration and mentor to many young people in the field of modeling and continues to make strides.

Man stabs girlfriend to death, commits suicide

A man has allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death in his room in Cape Coast, after which he committed suicide by hanging.

The woman, Georgina Sayel, a teacher said to be in her late 20s, was found dead in a pool of blood in Emmanuel Kwakye’s room last Monday.A distance away at Bronyibima, near Elmina, yesterday morning, residents found Kwakye’s body hanging in a basic school.

Sayel’s church members who spoke with the Daily Graphic yesterday said she had been in church last Sunday and related well with other church members.

She was said to have visited Kwakye in his house at Esuekyir after church on Sunday but did not return home.Concerned friends followed up to Kwakye’s house and found the room locked.

When the door was broken, Sayel’s body was found in a pool of blood.

President Akufo-Addo Presents 10,000 Hospital Beds To Health Ministry

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Tuesday, 22nd September 2020, presented ten thousand hospital beds, under the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP), to be distributed to hospitals across the country.

According to President Akufo-Addo, it is always disconcerting to see patients being treated in wheel chairs, in plastic chairs, and even on the floors because of the unavailability of beds.

“Government’s determination to see an end to this no-bed syndrome has resulted in the decision to procure these hospital beds and their associated accessories for distribution across the country, to augment the existing numbers in the country,” the President said.

To this end, he stated that “in total, one thousand, five hundred (1,500) pieces of critical care beds with overhead tables; two thousand (2,000) pieces of standard hospital beds with bedside lockers; four thousand (4,000) pieces health centre beds with bedside lockers; one thousand (1,000) piece…
