Serena Williams pulls out from the 2020 French Open due to Achilles injury

Three-time French Open champion, Serena Williams has withdrawn from the 2020 event because of an Achilles injury.
Williams, 39, came into the tournament nursing an Achilles injury she picked up during her semi-final defeat at the US Open earlier this month.

She was scheduled to play her second-round match against Bulgaria's Tsvetana Pironkova on Wednesday, and was aiming to equal Margaret Court's all-time record of 24 before she pulled out from the event.

Williams said in a statement: "After I warmed up - it was a very short warm-up - I talked to my coach and I was like, 'What do you think?' We both thought about it and we really realised that it likely wasn't the best for me to play today.

"I love playing in Paris, I really wanted to give an effort here. My Achilles didn't have time to properly heal. I'm struggling to walk so that's kind of a tell-tale sign that I should try to recover."

#Debates2020: Will you shut up man?! - Biden tells Donald Trump after he's taunted continuously in messy debate (video)

US president Donald Trump, squared off against Democratic challenger Joe Biden, during the first 2020 presidential election debates in Cleveland, Ohio.

In the debate hosted by Chris Wallace of Fox News, both politicians had an opportunity to face each other for the first time as Americans get to choose their next president in 5 weeks time. The first question was about Supreme Court justices and Trump's nomination of a new judge to fill the late Ruth Ginsburg's seat.

Such measures of adding more justices to the court would depend heavily on who wins the Senate, but the president would set the tone and the Democratic nominee has been cagey on where he stands.

At the debate, Biden launched into a seemingly canned response designed to dodge commitment one way or another.

When asked by Chris, if he will pack up the supreme court with more justices if he is elected as president, Biden refused to answer.

He rather said 'Americans go out and vote", to which Trump interjected &quo…

US 2020: Joe Biden releases his tax returns hours before presidential debate

US presidential candidate, Joe Biden released his tax returns on Tuesday September 29, hours before he is set to square off with President Donald Trump in the first presidential debate in Ohio.
According to his tax returns, Joe Biden and his wife earned nearly $1million in 2019 and paid $346k in taxes.

Tweeting Tuesday night, Biden wrote; "The American people deserve transparency from their leaders, it's why as of today, I've released 22 years of my tax returns." Biden's tax release comes days after a bombshell report from The New York Times showed Trump paid just $750 in federal taxes in 2016 and 2017.

The shocking figure reportedly paid by Trump was possible due to reported financial losses, a damaging blow to the successful 'billionaire businessman' image he has projected through out his career.

Biden's deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield said on Tuesday that they released the presidential candidate's financial information to be transparent.
