Asamoah, Baffour Gyan allegedly assault tennis opponent

Former Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan and his brother Baffour Gyan are wanted by the Ghana police for assaulting Godwin Martey, the CEO of Web Soft Solutions.
The two were taking part in a tennis training match which involved the brother of Baffour, Asamoah Gyan the former captain of the Black Stars.

A police report sighted by Starr FM Sports coupled with an audio recording on the incident indicates that Godwin Martey was slapped and hit by Baffour Gyan who was the umpire in the tennis game between Martey and his brother Asamoah Gyan after complaining of unfair calls by the umpire (Baffour). The complainant Godwin Martey said he wanted to quit the game after feeling unfairly treated by umpire Baffour Gyan in the match against Asamoah Gyan. He said was allegedly attacked by Baffour with his brother Asamoah Gyan also joining in to assault him.

The 2020 Billboard Music Awards took place on Wednesday night, October 14, at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, with Kelly Clarkson as the host.

There was performance from Garth Brooks who performed a medley of his hits, including "The Thunder Rolls," "Callin' Baton Rouge," "The River," "Standing Outside the Fire," "That Summer," "Dive Bar," "Friends in Low Places" and "The Dance."

Other performers included Kane Brown with "Be Like That" featuring Swae Lee & Khalid, Alicia Keys with "Love Looks Better," Combs with "Better Together," Post Malone with "Circles" and "Tommy Lee" featuring Tyla Yaweh. Brandy hit the stage alongside Ty Dolla $ign to perform "Borderline," "No Tomorrow" and "Almost Doesn't Count," while Doja Cat performed "Juicy," "Say So" and "Like That."

President Donald Trump's son, Barron tested positive for Coronavirus

US First Lady, First Lady Melania Trump has revealed that her 14-year-old son with President Donald Trump tested positive for Coronavirus.
Melania who revealed this in a personal essay in which she narrated her experience battling COVID-19, described her son as a strong teenager who didn't exhibit any symptom.

The US President and first lady also tested positive for Coronavirus as well as other White House staff, but have since recovered.

Melania wrote;

    "Naturally, my mind went immediately to our son. Luckily he is a strong teenager and exhibited no symptoms".

When asked how his son was doing in the wake of Melania Trump's essay on Wednesday October 14, Trump said Barron is doing "fine".  He later called Barron "beautiful" and "free" at a campaign rally in Iowa on Wednesday evening.

Bobi Wine 'arrested during raid at party's office'

Uganda's opposition MP Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, was arrested during a police raid at his party's office on Wednesday, his lawyer has told AFP news agency.

The lawyer, Anthony Wameli, said officials of Bobi Wine's party, National Unity Platform, were also arrested.

"This is despicable and an attack on democracy by the partisan police and the army," Mr Wameli is quoted as saying.

The party office was raided by dozens of armed soldiers and police officers.

Bobi Wine, who is running for the presidency, said documents to secure his nomination went missing during the raid. The elections will be held in January 2021.

Police said the raid was not political but an operation on misuse of uniforms and accoutrements that are gazetted.
