Kim Kardashian has no plans to drop the West from her surname after her divorce from rapper Kanye West is finalized.
Despite Kanye filing to change his name to just Ye, Kim plans to keep the West name with her children.
A source told TMZ that the reality star is expected to retain her former husband's last name to protect her children, as she thinks it's "important" to have the same name as her kids.
The sources also claimed that Kim fully supports Kanye's recent decision to legally change his name to Ye.
All of the former couple's children share the surname of West, and Kim wants to maintain a "strong family unit".
